Cyber Security is the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, attacks, and damage. The course introduces fundamental security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability, along with common cyber threats including malware, phishing, ransomware, and denial-of-service attacks.

The course also covers network and application security techniques, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, secure protocols, and vulnerability assessment. Emphasis is placed on ethical hacking, incident response, and cyber laws, helping students understand how to detect, prevent, and respond to cyber attacks.

Course description

Cyber Security, including the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. I gained knowledge about various types of cyber threats such as malware, phishing, ransomware, and denial-of-service attacks. I also learned the basics of cryptography, authentication, and access control mechanisms used to protect data and systems. In addition, I understood how network security tools like firewalls and intrusion detection systems work, along with methods for vulnerability assessment and ethical hacking.
